Surfing in Scotland
This morning I drove down to check out the waves at Aberdeen beach. The waves were spectacular. I jumped back in the car and headed to Granite Reef surf shop and rented a surfboard. The lass at the surfshop said the waves would be best as the tide was coming in for the next few hours. I grabbed the surfboard and drove back to the beach. I parked at the Southren end of the beach and got suited up for my first surfing experience. I thought for sure I was going to get hammered by the waves, but it wasn't bad at all. I just watched the surfers around me to see what they were doing and copied them. I had some amazingly long rides. I got three standing rides, and many laying down or kneeling rides. I had an excellent time. After working 80+ hours each week, for the last three weeks, this was just what I needed. I'm stoked.
